Hey there, I'm Christina

I'm an oncology specialised clinical counsellor (social worker), EFT tapping & Matrix Reimprinting practitioner, and Reiki Master Teacher, with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through cancer, grief, and life’s most complex emotional and stress induced moments & environments.  

 

I blend holistic (mind, body & spirit) approaches that are simple, nurturing and that cultivate inner peace, harmony & resilience within, so you can move through life's challenges with greater peace, clarity and confidence.  My work is designed to help you to regain control of your emotional health, your stress levles, mindset and wellbeing, so you can return to feeling like yourself again.

back to your body,
back to your truth,
your needs, and your true self. 

For over 15 years as an oncology social worker and holistic (mind-body-spirit) practitioner, I’ve walked beside people in their darkest and most stress induced moments, from cancer diagnoses, through treatment uncertainty, end of life care, anticipatory grief, bereavement, burnout, identity loss, emotional collapse, and everything in between. And what I’ve learned through those moments is this:

People don’t just need coping strategies.  

They need nervous system support, emotional release,

energetic balance, and a safe place to soften, grow and heal. 

This is the work I do.

​

As you might have already guessed, I’m not your traditional counsellor or therapist.  Yes, I do have a Master’s in Social Work (registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers), and I'm clinically trained with over a 15 years experience supporting individuals through stress, mental health issues, cancer, grief, and life’s most demanding moments. 

​

My work goes beyond traditional talk therapy. 

I weave together powerful somatic (body based),

trauma informed and energetic (mind-body-spirit) practices

like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Matrix Reimprinting, and Reiki

to help you move through stress, grief and trauma in a way that

feels gentler, compassionate, and deeply transformative.

My hope is that you can discover that you can

move through any circumstance with more ease, calm and confidence. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Why This Work

Matters To Me.
My greatest learnings have came from my greatest losses. 

​

​At 8 years old, I lost my Aunt Jenny, my childhood superhero who lived with muscular dystrophy. Though paralysed from the neck down, she glowed with joy, humour, and resilience. Her presence taught me that while the body may weaken, the energy of love and joy for life never fades.

​

Many years later in adulthood, my Yiayia Julia died.  Julia was an almighty Greek warrior woman who raised her family with softness, strength, and a magical ability to turn even a beach swim into a sacred memory, despite her life being filled with hardship and struggle.  I was honoured to know them both, and they've instilled in me a strong sense of the importance of community, wisdom, courage and appreciation for human potential, the potential to move through any circumstances with grace, love and peace within.

Challenges are inevitable. 
Stress is adaptable. 

Before social work, I spent over a decade working in corporate environments as a consultant helping leaders develop their skills to engage and inspire people. 

​

On the outside, it all looked successful.
Big goals. Fast-paced growth. High-performing teams. Interesting projects and more. 

But underneath it all, I saw something else.

Pressure. Politics. Unrealistic deadlines.
People quietly running on empty, burning out and often not able to ask for help. 

​

Even through people were in the most part, functioning well at work, many were struggling on the inside, juggling work and life pressures. At work, they'd over-extend themselves, sometimes to the point where their personal lives and health suffered. 
​

And I remember thinking to myself, there has to be a better way to live & work than this.

Then one fine day, a leader I had been coaching, wrote a curious question on my notepad that sparked a cascade of existential life questions. That question was simple, provocative and powerful...

"If you had no fear, what would you do?"​

 

So what did I do?  I left. 

I stepped away from corporate life, completed my Masters of Social Work, and embarked on career move most people wanted to talk me out of.  â€‹

 

And now I understand why.  Healthcare, I thought would be different ball game. 

More grounded. More supported. But working as an oncology social worker, I saw something very familiar, just in a different form.

​

- More stress.
- Burnout.
- Compassion fatigue.
& Trauma, but this time vicarious. 

​

Not just in the patients and families I was working with, but across the healthcare system of supporters including social workers, psychologists, nurses, doctors and more. 

​

People who deeply care are often carrying more than their nervous systems are ready for. And that’s when something became very clear to me:

 

Every environment will have it's challenges.

But how you support yourself, & how manage your stress, changes everything.​

 

Every environment has its own challenges be it corporate, healthcare of life itself.  

​

Stress doesn’t disappear.
Grief doesn’t follow timelines.

Trauma can sneaks in quietly sometimes. 
And pushing through only works… until it doesn’t.

​

What matters most in any working profession or life experience is this:

- Your ability to care & prioritise your wellbeing
- Your ability to regulate your nervous system
- Your ability to stay connected authentically to yourself, even in the hardest of moments

 

Because when all that is missing...everything feels harder.

What Stress, Trauma, Cancer & Unresolved Grief Reveal

 

Chronic stress, trauma & unprocessed losses arising from bereavement, cancer, a relationship ending, job loss, job pressures, identity change, burnout, or trauma-infused events from the past, all live quietly beneath the surface.  And this includes those who are supporting someone going through all of the above and more.  

 

They show up as:

  • emotional overwhelm

  • burnout

  • anxiety, depression or shutdown

  • irritability, guilt or anger

  • feeling “stuck” or disconnected

  • difficulty coping or sleeping

  • feeling scattered and unfocussed

  • constant stress and exhaustion despite “doing everything right”

  • feeling like something inside you isn't quite right

  • repeated unhelpful patterns you can’t explain

  • feeling burdened, numb or like you’re “not quite yourself”

These aren’t failures.

They’re wounds asking for attention. 

They are often somatic, energetic and sitting in your subconscious. 

And the best part is they can shift - Gently. Powerfully. Sustainably.

My approach is holistic.  I blend science informed, evidence based practices like mindfulness, neuroscience, trauma informed somatic practices and a touch of energetics (if that's your thing) to bring harmony between the body and mind, guiding you through any stress-induced life altering events in a way that feels empowering, not overwhelming. Together, we will:

  • calm the overwhelm your nervous system is holding

  • clear emotional and energetic blocks

  • transform limiting beliefs into resourceful ones

  • honour your loved ones and your grief instead of suppressing it

  • create new supportive inner resources

  • reconnect you with your strength, intuition & inner light
