What kind of grief can EFT tapping be used for? 

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps reduce the emotional intensity of grief and stress associated with life changing events by calming the nervous system and processing painful memories in a calmer and easier way. Whether you're grieving a loved one lost to cancer, supporting a loved one through cancer,  experiencing grief in your own cancer experience or are a cancer survivor and not sure how to live life fully again, EFT can help you release feelings like sadness, guilt, overwhelm, and fear and much more.  It's completely safe, evidence based and you will learn techniques that you can apply yourself as well. 


Tapping on specific meridian points during sessions helps the body and mind reconnect to experience calmer states, regulating stress, reducing intense feelings and sensations and giving your grief space to move, rather than be held in overwhelm.

It’s not about forgetting -  it’s about gently allowing the experience of grief in a safe and natural way from within.

Can I do Tapping for Grief on my own or do I need an EFT Tapping Practitioner?

That's entirely up to you.  Some people want to learn the basics, called the EFT basic protocol with some tweaks that they can do for themselves at home.  Other's need support to reduce effects from key events that continue to be bothersome, like 'hearing about cancer' for the first time or 'getting anxious every time there's a scan or review' or 'seeing their loved on in pain'.  Grief is completely unique to each individual and so too is EFT tapping.  I tailor sessions to your individual needs and in each session I give you techniques that you can apply at home so you feel empowered to regain in  your life, regardless of your circumstances. 

What is Matrix Reimprinting & how does it help support grief healing ? 

Matrix Reimprinting is an advanced EFT technique that works with the subconscious mind to revisit and transform past events and memories that are influencing present day grief experiences. Moments such as hearing you or your loved one has a cancer diagnoses will directly impact the nervous system and depending on your perception and beliefs formed in that moment, may lead to trauma.  Matrix Reimprinting is incredibly powerful for people dealing with grief during or beyond a cancer experience, including into bereavement. Matrix Reimprinting is a highly collaborative process and allow you to safely review emotionally charged moments from the past (e.g. cancer diagnosis, hospital visits, caring struggles, oncology reviews, palliative care and or a final goodbye) that continue to impact your nervous system.  Matrix Reimprinting shifts how perceptions formed during those moments are held in your body and mind and contribute to your present day experience of grief.  EFT tapping is used within this technique to reduce the emotional charge of past experiences that continue to be stored in the body.  In addition, Matrix Reimprinting uses creative visualisation and belief recrafting, so you can transform limiting beliefs (perceptions) formed during past events into more resourceful beliefs that will transform your current day energetics (mind-body experience) of grief.  This way, grief becomes easier for you to experience as you clear the path for dealing with your present day grief experience.  It's as though you've cleared your home of old unwanted items that keep you feeling cluttered and overwhelmed, and unable to experience your home in it's natural state.  Rather than being stuck in the pain of your grief, you get to expereince grief from a sense of safety, love, and peace — and that’s where deep healing begins.

 

Can Reiki really help me with my grief and loss?

Absolutely. Grief doesn’t just live in the mind — it lives in the body and the subtle energy fields around the body. Reiki is a gentle and safe energy healing technique that soothes the emotional, physicl and spiritual pain of grief. Many clients describe it as a wave of compassion and calm they haven’t felt in a long time.  It helps to harmonise the energy systems and bring states of coherence into the body and mind.  For grief support, reiki is a gentle, easy healing practice that can literally move you from overwhelm to peace and calm.  Reiki offers your nervous system the rest it craves and your heart the space to heal.

 

I'm a Caregiver for someone with cancer and I'm struggling, overwhelmed and exhausted.  Can you help?

Yes. Caregiver grief and stress is often invisible, but it’s very real. You may feel emotionally exhausted, anxious, and grieving in advance. I specialize in anticipatory grief and cancer-related emotional stress and I work with many cancer caregivers.   Using EFT tapping, Matrix Reimprinting, and Reiki, I’ll support you to calm your nervous system, gain more clarity and time for yourself and process the waves of fear, helplessness, grief, guilt and more. You're not alone — and you don’t have to carry this burnden by yourself.  Discovering tools to help resource yourself is important and I integrate a variety of tools (somatic, breathing and mindfulness practices) and techniques that you can use for yourself in support of your journey.  

I'm a Cancer Survivor and I'm struggling with anxiety, guilt and identity loss.  What can I do?  

Surviving cancer brings a complex mix of emotions: relief, gratitude,  deep grief and living with changes experienced in the body. Many survivors quietly mourn the “old version of themselves,” feel lost in adapting to life's demands once again, and can even experience guilt for surviving their experience.  While this is a natural expression of grief beyond cancer, knowing how to support yourself is important.  
My approach is highly tailored to your needs.  Together we can identify which aspects in your grief you are struggling with and explore techniques (including exploring your values) to help you adjust to life after cancer and rediscover a new, thriving version of you.  Matrix Reimprinting is especially powerful in supporting identity shifts, while EFT tapping and Reiki work well together to help release trauma and to help you reconnect with your future self in a gentle and safe way.  Healing isn’t just physical — it’s emotional and spiritual, too.  If you want to know more about how I can assist, book a free 15 min discover call. 

Do your grief sessions work for anticipatory grief?

Yes — anticipatory grief is one of the most misunderstood forms of grief, and it deserves special care and attention. Whether you’re a partner, parent, friend, or patient processing a life-altering diagnosis like cancer, these sessions offer you space to express your grief, fear, uncertainty, anticipatory thoughts and emotions safely. With gentle EFT tapping, and trauma-informed practices, you’ll be supported to manage your emotions and find peace in the in-between.  Grief doesn’t wait for death to begin and you don’t have to wait to feel supported.

How are your sessions different to traditional grief counselling  therapy?

I blend therapeutic insight (trauma informed and evidence based practices) with somatic and energetic healing. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which can sometimes leave you feeling heavy in your grief,  “stuck in the story,” or overwhelmed, my approach supports you in releasing stored grief in the body and in your personal energy field.
You’re not just talking, you’re transforming your energetics and allowing more healing to be experienced. Sessions are collaborative, calm, empowering, and deeply restorative. Whether you’re seeking support weeks or years after a loss, we work with where your grief lives now — emotionally, physically, energetically, and subconsciously.  This is grief healing from the inside out.

Do I need to chose between EFT tapping, Matrix Reimprinting or Reiki for grief?I

I tailor each session based on what is showing up in your grief, on that day. Some sessions focus more on EFT tapping for grief, other days on emotional release and in other sessions I may integrate energy balancing techniques using reiki or Matrix Reimprinting for subconscious clearing.
That’s the benefit of my approach, you don’t have to fit into a grief box. You’ll receive exactly what your body, heart, and mind are needing and are ready for.  Your grief is unique and so healing is too. 

Where and how do sessions take place?

Sessions are available online via Zoom and in-person in the Bass Coast or Essendon (Melbourne). You can choose a single session or book a healing package to support you over time.

You’ll also receive access to free grief tapping scripts and videos on YouTube and a complimentary ebook to help you get started with EFT at home.

Wherever you are in the world, support is available.

Where should I start if I'm not ready to talk? 

That’s perfectly ok. Grief can feel raw and intense, and talking with someone can feel overwhelming in the beginning.  You can begin by exploring the resources - articles that talk about grief, tapping and self care, tapping videos to help you better manage stress and overwhelm and other aspects of grief, or download the free Tapping for Grief Guide.  If you want to chat about your needs and then make a decision, book in for a 15 min discovery call and see if what I offer is aligned in supporting you through your grief, cancer and beyond.
